Tuticorin, November 15, 2015 – As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Tuticorin based Sterlite Copper conducted ‘Free Medical Camp’ on the occasion of World Diabetics Day at Puthiamputhur, Ottapidaram block today (15.11.2015).
The medical camp held at John The Baptist Higher Secondary School, Puthiamputhur was inaugurated by Mr Ponraj, Panchayat President – Puthiamputhur in the presence of Mr Bharath Kumar, Panchayat President – Rajavin Kovil and Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer & Head CSR – Sterlite Copper.
The team of doctors from Sterlite Copper screened the participants of the camp. Free physician consultation and medical tests were done for the people participated in this camp such as blood test, diabetes test, blood pressure test and electrocardiogram (ECG).
358 people benefitted through this camp. Free medicines were distributed to the people who suffered from various physical ailments.
