Thoothukudi, Nov 20:Quality Council of India in association with National Institute for Quality & Reliability (NIQR) has organized Six Sigma competitions among organizations in National Level to share the best practices followed by them and to learn about recent developments in the field of quality. The national level competition was organized at Chennai on 14.11.2015.
The competition was held among more than 28 quality circle teams and witnessed by more than 200 quality professionals from premier organizations. Five quality circle teams from Sterlite Copper has participated in this competition and presented the case study on productivity improvements by using quality tools and techniques and the best safety practices in the organization.
Finally Sterlite Copper bagged Four Gold Awards and One Silver Award in five different Quality Convention Competitions. Mr Sivanesan, Senior Vice President – Ashok Leyland & President – National Institute for Quality & Reliability (NIQR) gave the awards to Sterlite Copper Team in the presence of Mr Amit, Quality Council of India.
