Thoothukudi, September 26, 2016: Sterlite Copper in association with Thoothukudi District Basketball Association (TDBA) has organized “Sterlite Trophy 2016 (3rd South Zone Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament)” from 26.09.2016 to 01.10.2016 at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium), Thoothukudi. 14 teams of leading colleges across Tamil Nadu participated in the tournament.
Sterlite Everrolling Trophy, Winner in Men’s Category was bagged by Jeppiaar Institue of Technology while in Women’s Category, Hindustan University bagged the winner trophy.
Dr R Dhinakaran, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirunelveli and Mr Anshu Goel, Business Head – Copper & Precious Metal, Sterlite Copper distributed the trophies and prizes to the winner & runners of the tournament.
Mr VVD Bremanandam, President, Thoothukudi District Basketball Association, Mr DR Balan, Vice President, Tamil Nadu State Basketball Association and TDBA Officials were present during the occasion.
